Darryl L. Smith, received his B.S. Accounting /Finance degree from Wilberforce University (founded in 1856 is the nation’s oldest, private historically black college and university HBCU), whereas before graduating was named Business Student of the Year in 1992 and also studied Non Profit / Faith-Based Economic Development at Payne Theological Seminary (founded in 1894 is one of the nation’s oldest Black Seminaries) in 1999-2000.


Mr. Smith has over 25(+) years of professional experience in the area of Accounting, Finance, and Business Management. Darryl has a passion for Business /Economic Development and Social Justice and has had the pleasure of holding various positions such as (Sr. Accountant, Business Manager, MIS Financial Analyst, and Database Consultant in the public and private business industry. Darryl has also had the opportunity and pleasure of being part of the HUD/Non-Profit & Faith-Based Economic Development movement spear-headed by Bill Clinton & Al Gore. Mr. Smith is currently an entrepreneur specializing in the areas of business development and database management.


Along with being the Director for the Brand Ambassador Division of Emerald Thumb Industries, Inc., Mr. Smith currently serving his 3rd 2-year term as President of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), Southwest Riverside County/Lake Elsinore. Mr. Smith has also held the position of NAACP ACTSO Chairperson, while a member of the Dayton OH Branch NAACP and Youth Council Representative while a member of the Detroit Branch of the NAACP.


Mr. Smith is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated and the National Association of Black Accountants.
