A Hygrotainer™ steel container (patent pending) is a highly engineered modular and mobile vertical production environment: a specially designed and constructed 40’ insulated shipping container that has been modified to provide the optimum controlled vertical environment for growing a wide range of horticultural and agricultural products in all environments and climates. The results are a significantly higher yield in a shorter time than all conventional production methods. With a Hygrotainer™ steel container, it is now possible to grow almost anything, almost anywhere.


Hygrotainer™ steel containers are mobile and stackable. The 40’ Hygrotainer™ container prototypes have been substantially modified with the installation of a utility area and two independent climate and environmentally controlled production chambers, perfect for research or production. Each Hygrotainer™ is painted with a reflective Marine Epoxy inside and 20-30 mm of ceramic insulating paint, the same used by NASA, outside. Each unit is equipped with our proprietary Hygrotroller™ control system, so unique that it almost eliminates the need for a full time grower. A positive pressure environment creates a natural barrier against pests and disease.

Each state of the art Hygrotainer™ steel container is a mobile billboard, promoting its supporters with highly visible logos and graphics. It is a mobile classroom, offering students the opportunity to learn more about controlled environment, technology-based production and sustainability with an added bonus of providing fresh healthy vegetables to those students. It is an educational tool and a mobile research center as well and provides an opportunity for technology-based production under many different circumstances, often difficult, including harsh climates and remote environments.
